We believe community service for veterans is stronger when shared.
Operation Watchcap is powered by volunteers who want to make a tangible difference in the lives of U.S. veterans.
Who Can Volunteer?
Anyone with a heart to serve veterans is welcome. You do not need to be an expert in knitting for veterans or crocheting. Beginners are encouraged to join us. We are building community as much as we are producing caps.
What Volunteers Do
• Knit or crochet watch caps
• Participate in Covering Circle gatherings
• Help prepare caps for distribution
• Assist with outreach and events
Quality & Standards
To ensure consistency and durability, we provide basic size and material guidelines. Our goal is for every cap to be warm, comfortable, and suitable for daily wear. We do not sell our caps. Every cap is donated.
Respect & Community
Our volunteer gatherings are welcoming, respectful environments. If we meet in shared facilities, we ensure our activities do not interfere with other services or operations.
